The Quality Colleges Alliance is a group of like-minded owner-operators of Private Post-Secondary institutions in Canada. The goal of the QCA is to develop a set of standards, policies and, procedures that accredit student and community-focused institutions. Doing so will support high-quality education options in Canada while establishing trust and confidence with students, industry and, society.
This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) outlines the collaborative framework and principles governing the Quality Colleges Alliance (QCA). The QCA represents a consortium of colleges committed to excellence, ethical practices, and mutual support. By entering into this MOU, partner colleges agree to work together for the benefit of students, faculty, and the broader educational community.
Article 1: Purpose
The purpose of the QCA is to foster cooperation, enhance educational quality, and promote collective interests among partner colleges. This MOU establishes the terms and conditions under which partner colleges will collaborate.
Article 2: Backlink Promotion
Partner colleges shall prominently display backlinks on their official websites to promote the QCA. These backlinks will direct visitors to the QCA’s central platform, highlighting the alliance’s mission, programs, and achievements.
Article 3: Admissions Compliance and Ethics
Admissions processes within partner colleges shall adhere to legal and ethical standards. Transparency, fairness, and integrity are paramount.
Partner colleges commit to sharing best practices and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Article 4: Referral Arrangements
Partner colleges shall actively explore referral arrangements for student recruitment. Collaborative efforts will enhance student access and success.
Referrals may include cross-promotion of programs, joint information sessions, and targeted outreach.
Article 5: Collective Buying Power
The QCA recognizes the potential benefits of collective purchasing. Partner colleges may explore joint procurement opportunities, joint event participation and, other opportunities to optimize resources and reduce costs.
Article 6: Resource Sharing
Article 7: Independence and Autonomy
While collaborating within the QCA, partner colleges retain their independence. The alliance does not interfere with individual college governance or decision-making.
Article 8: Alliance Governance
Major decisions, amendments to this MOU, and new terms and conditions shall be subject to majority voting by partner colleges.
The QCA will establish clear procedures for decision-making and dispute resolution.
Article 9: Privacy and Confidentiality
Partner colleges shall safeguard the privacy and confidentiality of student information and business practices.
Data sharing within the alliance shall comply with applicable privacy laws.
Article 10: Regular Meetings
Partner colleges commit to meeting at least once per month, either in person or virtually. These meetings will facilitate communication, collaboration, and alignment of goals.
